Departing from Sandakan
If your goal is to see as much wildlife as possible then Sabah's East coast is the best place to be! Since some tours start in Sandakan and finish in Lahad Datu whereas others start and finish in Sandakan, we recommend choosing your tour before booking your flights. Overland transfers are available to help you reach your next destination if needed. Tours departing from Sandakan will typically include a combination of one or more of the following places: Sepilok sanctuaries, the Kinabatangan river, Danum Valley and / or Tabin Wildlife Reserve.
