Join us for a nature filled adventure through the mighty Kinabatangan river and to the wildlife sanctuaries in Sepilok. Leave from Semporna for 2 nights at a riverside lodge and cruise in search of pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, wild orangutans, gibbons, hornbills, crocodiles and more! On the last day, continue on to Sepilok to discover the world's smallest bears then head over to Sepilok orangutan sanctuary to explore both the main feeding platform and nursery at Sepilok orangutan sanctuary. There are both private AC chalet and dormitory options available and tours depart daily based on min 2 people.
Itinerary

Day 1
Have a late breakfast before pick up from your hotel or dive centre in Semporna between 10.30 - 11.30am and begin the 4-hour journey to the Kinabatangan River Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon arrival in Kampung Bilit, afternoon tea with local snacks will be available before the first boat cruise at 4pm. In the late afternoon, you will proceed for the river cruise around 4:00 pm in search of wildlife along the river banks returning for a buffet dinner. After dinner, you have the option to join a night walk around the lodge grounds in search of roosting birds, insects and nocturnal creatures. (D) Please note that guests arriving on Scuba Junkie's transfer boat from Mabul at 11.30am will need to depart directly from the boat to the lodge and will not have time for lunch along the way, please ensure you bring plenty of snacks for the journey. |

Day 2
As day dawns, join the early morning boat cruise in search of pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, hornbills, orang-utans and more before returning to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast join a trek along the river banks looking for wildlife before returning to the lodge for lunch and the chance to relax surrounded by nature. Once the afternoon sun cools down, join the cruise boat for more wildlife spotting opportunities. After a buffet dinner there will be another chance for a night walk looking for tarsiers, frogs, insects, flying squirrels and other nocturnal wildlife. (B, L, D) Optional add-on: Night cruise RM80 per person

Day 3
Wake-up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills and join our 6 am morning River Cruise for your final chance to spot pygmy elephants, orang utans, proboscis monkeys, hornbills and all types of other birds & monkeys on the river. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then transfer to Sepilok to visit the canopy walk at Sepilok Rainforest Discovery Centre. You will then have lunch in a local restaurant while waiting for the orang-utan sanctuary to re-open. Around 2 pm head in for a short walk to the orang-utan nursery where you can watch orphaned orangutans getting cared for and playing. After watching these lively young orang-utans, continue to the main feeding platform for the 3pm feeding. Around 4 pm leave Sepilok and transfer to Sandakan airport or town, ETA by 4.30pm.
