Mulu National Park
Impressive geological features, exceptional biodiversity and a whole range of activities to suit everyone from families to adrenaline junkies make Mulu National Park one of Borneo’s must-see destinations. With 295 km of explored caves providing both a spectacular sight and a home to millions of cave swiftlets and bats, it is easy to see why Mulu National Park has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Sarawak Chamber in Deer Cave is the largest known cave chamber in the world and with a width of over 400m, is large enough to park 8 jumbo jets side by side!
“The Pinnacles”, tall, jagged limestone outcrops with steep trails, rare orchids and a treacherous route to the summit provide a challenging and unique trek for those in search of more adventure. |
3D2N Mulu National Park
Spend 2 days in Mulu National Park exploring Deer, Lang's, Wind and Clearwater caves, otherwise known as "the show caves". These caves are easily accessible to visitors thanks to boardwalks, railings, paths and lights but a guide remains mandatory to enter any of the caves. Our 3D2N itinerary also includes a stop off at sunset to watch the impressive bat exodus from the bat observation platform near Deer & Lang's cave and an optional night walk to learn more about the park’s nocturnal wildlife. On the last day venture onto the canopy skywalk for a bird’s-eye view of the rainforest or remain firmly on the ground and explore some of the park's beautiful forest trails.

4D3N Pinnacles & show caves
Start your 4D3N adventure with a visit to Deer & Lang's cave and stay for the bat exodus at sunset. Spend a night in the park then begin your journey to camp 5, visiting Wind & Clearwater cave along the way. The next morning, scramble up Gunung Api via a steep trail, climbing over razor-sharp rocks and up metal ladders (at your own risk!) until you are rewarded with a stunning vista of limestone outcrops rising out of the surrounding forest. Return to camp 5 for another night before heading back to Park HQ the following day.

Whilst most people spend 2 or 3 nights in Mulu, it is also possible to spend a whole week there. If you are looking to explore the headhunter trail, visit camp 5 without climbing the pinnacles, do some adventure caving or would like to combine your trip to Mulu National Park with other jungle trips or adventures in Borneo just contact us and we'll be happy to help plan an itinerary for you.
